Travis McNeil is President of NexGen Properties which he founded in 2004 with the sole purpose of being an entrepreneurial commercial real estate property acquisition, development, and investment firm. Being that Travis comes from an entrepreneurial family, he has sought to purchase opportunistic opportunities in office, retail, multi-family, land, hospitality, and industrial properties. Some of his accomplishments to date include a $30MM 1031 exchange in 2010, in which he purchased multiple Walgreens and CVS drug stores in Boulder, Colorado, New York City, Orlando, and Chicago. Travis has also been instrumental in purchasing and selling over 350 single family, condo, and townhome lots in five different communities along the Denver Front Range. As part of owning these lots, Travis has assumed Declarant roles by serving as the HOA President over two large condominium communities. Travis is a 5th generation Colorado native who enjoys investing in the great State of Colorado. Travis has held an active real estate license in the State of Colorado since 2004. Travis graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder, with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Business. In Travis' free time, he enjoys spending time with his family. Interests include backcountry skiing, indoor soccer, mountain biking, tennis, and strength training. Serving in the community, Travis is a church youth leader and former Boy Scout Scoutmaster.
Matt Bernstein currently serves as the Vice President of Acquisitions and Asset Management at NexGen Properties. Since joining NexGen Properties in June of 2018, Matt has led efforts at NexGen to create value in commercial real estate by managing business development through the sourcing and underwiring of new acquisitions and optimizing profitability for assets under management. Matt joined NexGen with a diverse background in commercial real estate with brokerage, development, finance, asset management, and operations experience. He previously served as a managing partner at Hier & Company, Inc., a local real estate firm specializing in land development, brokerage and property management, where he oversaw the development lifecycle for more than $30 million in commercial assets. Prior to joining Hier & Company, Inc., Matt worked at Prologis, Inc. for 10 years gaining commercial real estate experience in strategic operations, investment management, and analysis. He managed the $625 million Prologis Mexico Industrial Fund, where he was responsible for the asset management of the Fund’s industrial real estate portfolio. He also oversaw reporting and investor relations with the Fund’s nine distinct institutional investors. Matt received his M.S. in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver and his B.A. in Economics and Environmental Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a licensed real estate broker and commercial realtor in the State of Colorado and an active leader and volunteer at various local and professional organizations including NAIOP, Washington University in St. Louis' eliot committee and built environment network, and Aspen Academy's financial literacy committee. Outside of real estate, Matt loves spending time with family, skiing with his business partner Travis, and rooting on the Texas Rangers.
